The natural power of masticha for digestive health
Mastika is a supplement from the category supporting normal bowel function. Mastix is a resin extracted from the Pistacia lentiscus var. Chia tree, a low evergreen tree with a thousand-year tradition of cultivation and use. Mastica is a mixture of hundreds of compounds, which may explain its wide spectrum of action. There are more than 60 biologically active compounds in mastic resin essential oil alone.
Who is this supplement for? For people with Helicobacter pylori infection - according to scientific research, mastic inhibits the growth of the bacteria, people with gastric and duodenal ulcers, Lesniowski-Crohn's disease - according to scientific research, mastic affects the speed of mucosal regeneration. Regular consumption of mastic can strengthen the protection of the digestive system and be helpful in the prevention of gastric and intestinal diseases. Mastic also has an anti-inflammatory effect, which is important for inflammatory disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, such as gastritis or irritable bowel syndrome, ulcers on the stomach and duodenum, for hyperacidity and for flatulence, belching and reflux or heartburn.
FEATURES:
- Supports the restoration of balance in intestinal function
- Has a strong antimicrobial effect, e.g. against Helicobacter Pylori
- Supports bowel emptying even in Crohn's disease
- Reduces discomfort in the digestive system, e.g. heartburn, flatulence, reflux
- Supports sealing of the intestines
- Protective effect on the liver
- Supports the prevention of atherosclerosis and diabetes
- Increases glutathione levels
- accelerates wound healing
Mastic has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help to relieve inflammation in the body. It is recommended to take mastic before meals, especially if the aim is to support digestion and relieve stomach discomfort. Before eating, mastic better prepares the digestive system, minimising the risk of heartburn, bloating or indigestion.
Thanks to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, mastic is also used in cosmetics - it helps to improve the condition of the skin and supports its regeneration. It accelerates wound healing when applied externally, e.g. as poultices.
It also exhibits antioxidant and antitumour effects - in preclinical studies, mastic extract has been proven to have strong antioxidant properties, increasing the level of glutathione - the most powerful naturally produced antioxidant.
It also has antiatherosclerotic and anti-diabetic effects - subjects given mastic essential oil capsules for 8 weeks showed a significant decrease in total cholesterol, LDL lipoprotein fractions and triglycerides and blood glucose levels, and an increase in HDL compared to a control group receiving placebo. Mastika has a beneficial effect on liver function by stimulating bile secretion and reducing fatness in this organ.
