Are fat burners safe?
Fat burners are supplements that work by accelerating the reduction of fat tissue accumulated in the body. Such preparations may additionally limit its further storage. Depending on their composition, some of them suppress appetite, others have a thermogenic effect or increase energy levels, which translates into greater strength during training. Whether fat burning pills are safe depends primarily on their composition and the health condition of the person taking them. What ingredients are considered effective and safe for our health?
Are fat burners harmful? Information in a nutshell
Fat burners have different opinions, but it should be noted that in many cases we are dealing with stereotypical thinking or lumping such products with others. The bad reputation of fat burners comes from preparations that were available on the market many years ago and, although they worked effectively, were harmful to the body. This was also related to weaker control over dietary supplements and less access to information on the effects of specific drugs. Today, you can easily check whether a given product is a safe fat burner and how strong the ingredients it contains. In the context of the safety of supplements, it is extremely important to buy them in proven places. Biolab's offer includes effective preparations for burning fat tissue. The description of each product contains detailed information about the composition.
People who do not know a given ingredient can easily check the data about it. This way, we will quickly find out whether any of the substances mentioned are potentially dangerous. Another issue that must be taken into account is the state of our health. Fat burning pills may be neutral for most people. However, if we are struggling with a specific disease or have a problem, e.g. with hypertension, it may turn out that taking such preparations is risky. Before purchasing any product, it is worth doing blood tests and a general urine test to check your health. In some cases, the problem with excessive body weight does not result from our diet, lack of exercise or lifestyle, but from a disease or deficiency of specific nutrients. If in doubt, it is best to consult a doctor. We also encourage you to read the articles on what exactly fat burners are and how they work (link to the article).
Are fat burners healthy?
There is one more point worth mentioning. Taking fat burners alone will not provide us with results if we have not taken care of the caloric deficit and are not physically active. Dietary supplements are only an addition, so they will not do all the work for us. However, when we combine them with a healthy, balanced diet, a moderate deficit (it is recommended to initially reduce the total caloric demand by 15%) and an appropriate training plan, the effects can be truly excellent. People who wonder whether it is worth taking fat burners must also remember that the results of taking such supplements appear most quickly after a few weeks, and of course if the supplementation was regular.
The final results depend on the product we choose. Some preparations not only accelerate the burning of fat tissue, but also have a number of other properties that are beneficial to our body. One of the most common benefits is an increase in energy. You can use it not only during training, but also every day, e.g. at work. Some supplements also improve our concentration and memory. Some of them are commonly used, e.g. in Ayurvedic medicine, for many ailments. Therefore, some preparations may have a positive impact on our health and help us with certain ailments. People who wonder whether a fat burner is safe should also consider the risk of a potential reaction to the medications they take. Some supplements may act similarly to the medications we take, which may have negative effects.

Safe fat burners - what can you choose?
There are fat burners on the market that are based on natural, plant ingredients as well as synthetic substances. Good preparations can be recognized by the fact that they are effective and safe and contain ingredients in sufficiently high concentrations. What supplements are worth paying attention to?
- Synephrine - is the main ingredient of bitter orange and one of the substances contained in fat burners. Its action is to increase the process of lipolysis, i.e. the breakdown of fats. In addition, it is thermogenic, which means it releases heat. Synephrine also accelerates metabolism and reduces appetite (Biolab's offer also includes other preparations to reduce appetite). An important benefit is increased energy without the side effects caused by e.g. caffeine.
- L-carnitine - is another popular fat burner and an ingredient that is naturally synthesized in the liver and kidneys. Its supplementation is a way to accelerate the reduction, because L-carnitine affects the metabolism of glucose and lipids. A higher concentration of this ingredient in the body leads to faster fat oxidation and a reduction in fat reserves in the body. It is also worth mentioning the additional beneficial effect of faster muscle regeneration after exercise.
- Curcumin and piperine - curcumin is the main ingredient of turmeric, and piperine is found in pepper. Their combination ensures a more intense effect. Both ingredients are thermogenics, which means that they stimulate the body's heat production process, which results in additional calorie burning. In addition, they facilitate digestion and accelerate metabolism.
People who wonder whether fat burners are safe should remember one more rule - "everything is a poison and nothing is a poison, because only the dose makes the poison." These famous words of Paracelsus apply to every ingredient. Therefore, you should always follow the dosage recommendations. A larger portion will not provide better results and may cause various unpleasant ailments.
