They are called non-invasive Botox or elixir of youth. The truth is, however, that natural peptides show much more than just anti-aging effects, and their area of action goes beyond cosmetics or aesthetic medicine.
Peptides are a remedy that is just as often reached for by people who exercise intensively at the gym, have joint problems, want to safely support their weight loss process, strengthen immunity or speed up recovery after an injury.
What are peptides and how are they constructed?
Peptides are organic chemical compounds that occur naturally in the body. They are made up of amino acids, linked to each other by what is known as a peptide bond, which is also where their name comes from. Currently, science distinguishes about 300 natural peptides.
These substances have the main task of transmitting messages between individual cells or organs, so they positively influence and improve various processes in the body.
Unfortunately, with the aging process, the amount of peptides decreases, and a person loses the ability to synthesize them at the previous level. That is why it was decided to recreate natural peptides in laboratories.
Peptides - natural actions and properties
Peptides have many valuable properties, such as properties:
- regulatory,
- antioxidant,
- antimicrobial,
- antiviral,
- anti-inflammatory,
- reinforcing,
- antioxidant (anti-aging).
Interested in how exactly natural peptides can affect the human body?
Dermal
For the skin, peptides primarily stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, responsible for its firmness and elasticity. In addition, they help soothe various inflammations, even out skin tone, and some also reduce bacteria that cause acne, for example. That's why natural peptides have found a place in the composition of many cosmetics, especially facial creams.
Hair
Natural peptides improve blood circulation in the scalp, so they have a positive effect on the entire length of the hair - from root to stem. The main advantage of peptide treatment is the ability to reduce excessive hair loss. Some of the peptides may also have a stimulating effect on pigment secretion, which will be of interest to people who don't like gray hair.
Metabolism
Increasing lipolysis, the process of breaking down triglycerides and releasing fatty acids, is one of the effects of peptides. Their action speeds up metabolism, reduces fat accumulation and thus allows you to get closer to your dreamed, healthy figure faster.
Strength
Natural peptides also support the growth of lean body mass and muscle tissue, which is an important goal for bodybuilders, for example, but also other gym-goers. In this case, so-called growth hormone secretion agonists (e.g. GHRP-6) or synthetic fragments of natural human growth hormone (e.g. Fragment 176-191) are most commonly used.
Libido
Finally, peptides are also able to help within sexual function - among other things.including helping to improve blood supply to the genitals, increasing sexual desire, and regulating hormone levels.
Effects of taking peptides
When it comes to natural peptides, the effects are slower, to say the least, but also more long-term than with other remedies. It is a great alternative to, for example, anabolic steroids, used to grow muscle mass, or Botox, which is supposed to help achieve a youthful appearance of the skin.
It is also worth adding that the use of peptides has not shown any dangerous side measures so far. They are also not as invasive as at least the aforementioned steroids.
By supplying your body with peptides, you are actually providing what your body knows and can use - and what it is not always able to produce in adequate amounts. Check out our wide range of peptides and see what they can do for you.
